We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring proper infection control protocols, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting surfaces

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort

- Take dental x-rays using digital imaging systems

- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation

- Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist

- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns

- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels

- Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred

- X-ray certification required; additional certifications such as CPR or coronal polishing are a plus

- Proficiency in using dental software systems for appointment scheduling and record keeping

- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and oral health procedures

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records and inventory management

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care

- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
