Are you a culinary professional looking for a new challenge? Alisal Ranch in Solvang is looking for an Executive Steward to help manage the daily kitchen utility operations and staff. Areas of responsibilities include dish room operations, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, banquet plating, and food running. Supervises kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking (e.g., dishwashers, kitchen helpers, etc.). Responsibilities include: Ordering supplies; Scheduling based on occupancy and labor budget; Conduct inventory of china, glassware, and silverware; Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards; Maintain a safe working environment to limit employee accidents; Supervise and manage employees including providing performance feedback and disciplinary action; Assist in hiring new employees; Train new hires; Participate in managing departments controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budget goals; Enforce proper use and care of all dish room machinery; and, Keep staff focused on guest/customer satisfaction. Requires 5-10 years hotel stewarding experience and supervisory experience. Must be computer literate and have solid leadership skills. Position is full-time, regular and requires working weekends, holidays, and some evenings. Includes great benefits including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, recreational privileges, and more!
