This is a permanent job. We need a MALE IHSS caregiver to work in the afternoons/evenings every weekday taking care of our 12 year old autistic child. The duties are mostly sitting in the living room making sure he is safe and we are safe, guiding him through chores, dealing with his meltdowns, making sure he is medicated and fed when needed, and every evening he needs to be verbally guided through a shower and then verbally guided through getting to bed. This job is not hard, but it requires patience.
The hours are starting Thursday as our child returns to school and the schedule will be 3:15pm - 9:00pm (M, Tu, W, F) and 2:15pm - 9:00pm Thursdays.
