Job Description Summary Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Non-Credit Vocational Education instructors forpossible part-time teaching assignments in the Continuing Education Division. Assignments may be day, evening, orweekend classes at the San Luis Obispo Campus, the North County Campus, South County Center, other sites within SanLuis Obispo County.Possible teaching assignments are focused on the areas of Ranch Education including:-VOCE 565A: Introduction to Farm Maintenance-VOCE 565B: Introduction to Livestock Identification and Handling-VOCE 565C: Introduction to Land Use Planning and Grazing-VOCE 565D: Introduction to Livestock HealthABOUT THE COLLEGEWhere You Will Work Serving all of San Luis Obispo County, Cuesta College has provided comprehensive associate degree offerings, certificates, and community programs to the region since 1964. (Candidates applying on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment. For directions on what is an acceptable equivalency argument please review the requirements listed on the HR Website.)OR-A valid Community College credential in the discipline (If received prior to 1990, as the credential is no longer being issued). Also Required: -Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Desirable:-Teaching experience in the discipline, community college level preferred;-Awareness of the philosophy and objectives of California Community Colleges.
