Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Santa Cruz, California for a Desktop Support Analyst. This Desktop Support role operates within the technology industry, providing crucial support to our team by resolving complex hardware and software issues. The Desktop Support role requires some travel to various locations close by. The Desktop Support Role is an onsite position and is great for anyone who wants to stay in the Santa Cruz area. Responsibilities:
Oversee the administration and ongoing maintenance of client IT environments, including network infrastructure, internet connectivity, business-critical systems, cloud applications, unified communications platforms, and cybersecurity solutions.
Deliver responsive technical support to end-users—both onsite and remotely—by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues across a wide range of devices and platforms.
Deploy, configure, and support end-user workstations, IP phones, networking devices (such as switches, routers, and firewalls), ensuring stable and secure operation.
Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, as well as Microsoft 365 tenants—including user provisioning, licensing, email configurations, and security policies.
Collaborate with clients to coordinate service appointments, schedule maintenance, and ensure timely resolution of technical requests while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Four years of experience working in the IT field as an IT Technician, Help Desk Technician, or Network Technician.
A+ Certification or equivalent experience (PC building and hardware maintenance).
Network+ or CCNA certification or equivalent education or experience.
Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (DHCP, IP routing).
Security+ or Google Cybersecurity certification (desired).
Experience with IP networking, routing, computer, and VoIP systems.
Acceptable/Insurable DMV record.
