Legal Assistant

Description Boutique law firm in Santa Cruz, CA has an immediate opening for a part-time Legal Assistant! This Legal Assistant will support one attorney with various trust and estate matters. As a Legal Assistant with this firm, you'll be responsible for various legal and administrative tasks including client intake, drafting documents, and calendaring. This is an on-site, part-time position, working Monday-Thursday with a flexible schedule, around 4 hours per day. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of office experience and a customer service mindset; prior legal experience is a plus but not required. Responsibilities: Support attorney with a variety of legal matters related to Trust, Estate, and Probate Handle administrative tasks including preparing correspondence and returning calls/files Draft forms, engagement letters, and set up files Assist in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration document preparation Utilize Case Management Software and Microsoft Office Suites for daily tasks Assist with billing functions and calendar management Ensure accurate and thorough documentationRequirements Qualifications: 6+ months of office experience required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required Customer service mindset is required Prior experience with client communication and calendaring preferred Law firm experience is a plus but not required Ability to work on-site in Santa Cruz on a part-time basis Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
