Job DescriptionInsight Global is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to work for an enterprise organization that develops gaming, autonomous and various software technologies based in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, you will support the Facilities Team and their projects as requested by their client. This role is 5 days on-site / week. Additional responsibilities include:
Interpreting Technical Documents: You'll read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Cooling Load Calculations: You'll perform air conditioning cooling load calculations and heat loss calculations according to ASHRAE standards.
Collaboration and Troubleshooting: You'll work with engineers and other personnel to implement procedures, resolve system issues, and provide technical information.
Design Evaluation: You'll research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
System Specification: You'll specify system components or modify products to meet engineering design and performance specifications.
Mechanical Product Maintenance: You'll install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, and systems.
Fault Diagnosis and Recommendations: Investigate equipment failures, diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations to maintenance crews.
Design Development: Develop mechanical and controls designs using drafting tools or computer-assisted design software.
Overseeing Installation and Repair: Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure compliance with specifications.
Feasibility Testing: Conduct research to test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment and systems.
Design Improvements: Recommend modifications to eliminate malfunctions in machines or systems.
Model Testing: Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods.
Cost Estimation and Bidding: Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, preparing contract documents.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or 7 + years in relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Extensive experience designing or maintaining MEP Building Systems
Strong knowledge in mechanical engineering principles and procedures
Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, 3D Rendering, hydraulic analysis, etc.
Previous experience in Critical Facilities preferred null
