Your Career

Our Developer Relations team aims to improve the developer experience across all Palo Alto Networks products, tools, services and APIs. As a Front-end Developerat Palo Alto Networks, your work will directly reach and empower our developer community (customers, partners, internal) to build the next generation of security apps, automation, tools and integrations.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate cross functionally to design, implement and support the UI/UX and DX needs of a rapidly growing developer audience

  • Evaluate functional requirements collected from multiple sources, including internal employees (marketing, field, product, engineering, etc.), external users and organizations (customers, partners, etc.), market trends, alignment with products in the company and other stakeholders

  • Design, plan and build web user interfaces and components to cover approved functional requirements

  • Build, adapt and maintain a dynamic docs-as-code pipeline supporting closed, inner and open source projects and contributions

  • Support and contribute to a thriving open source community dedicated to securing our digital way of life

  • Work alongside a dynamic team to research, prototype and experiment with new solutions and ideas to help our clients (customers, partners, internal) overcome unique challenges and improve our overall product offerings

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Self-driven with ability to work both independently and within a team environment to accomplish goals and objectives

  • Expertise in frontend web development technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, ReactJS, TypeScript, npm/yarn, CSS/Sass, Webpack, static-site generators, and more

  • Experience with graphic design applications, e.g. Adobe illustrator

  • Experience with maintaining and contributing to code repositories using git, GitHub/GitLab and more

  • Passion for web design and building web UIs that inspire creativity and innovation while efficiently directing our clients (customers, partners, internal) to the resources and materials they need

  • Knowledge of SEO and user analytics tools and techniques

  • Experience with OpenAPI/swagger specification and supporting tools, i.e. docs and code generators

  • Good understanding of scalability challenges and performance related metrics

  • Open to sharing your voice by presenting to clients (customers, partners, internal) at internal and external conferences and events

  • 2+ years professional experience as a front-end developer/engineer

  • Portfolio showcasing front-end development proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years professional experience as a front-end developer/engineer

If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $138,900/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
