The successful candidate will be responsible for the scale, reliability and sustainability of running our wall-to-wall Salesforce platform to enable our channel, sales, and service businesses. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a clear vision, exceptional strategic architecture skills, and a strong track record in development, delivery, and quality engineering.Your Impact

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Salesforce platform, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals and objectives

Develop and maintain a clear vision and roadmap for the Salesforce platform, incorporating feedback from stakeholders across the organization

Own the SFDC platform engineering Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive standardized tools and best practices to ensure scale, quality assurance, seamless integration of Salesforce solutions with other systems and processes

Responsible for data migration and quality to enable new product introductions and SKU upgrades for all customers

Lead and mentor a team of system engineers to run the SFDC platform for environment delivery, continuous integration and deployment, and release deployments

Partner with SFDC and other strategic vendors to plan out the platform roadmap to scale our GTM systems to the future demands of a $20B business and beyond

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, marketing, customer support, and finance, to define and prioritize business requirements

Ensure the effective integration of the Salesforce platform with other enterprise systems and data sources

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices in agile software development, DevOps, and quality assurance

Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering team, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth

Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce features, technologies, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage

Your Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent military experience required

Minimum of 8 years of experience in platform engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale Salesforce and GTM implementations

Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality Salesforce solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and best practices

Expertise in Salesforce administration tools and technologies

Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and platforms such as SnapLogic or other middleware solutions

Excellent strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills

Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team building, coaching, and talent development

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Salesforce certifications are highly desirable

For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $180,200/yr to $291,500/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
