Looking for an experienced maintenance technician to work for a local property management firm.
Must have a general knowledge and skill with electrical, plumbing, painting and other basic repairs and maintenance. This is a full time position, Monday through Friday. You must speak English, have a valid California driver license, and a basic set of tools.
Compensation depends on experience. PTO, holiday pay, 401K, and medical/dental/vision available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide general maintenance services as directed and assigned
Provide general painting services as directed and assigned
Provide minor plumbing repair services as directed and assigned
Complete a daily mileage record to be approved by Maintenance Supervisor
Complete detailed report of work done after work order completed
Record time worked to complete each work order
Respond to emergency services as needed
KNOWLEDGE and SKILL:
Knowledge of the use of a variety of common household tools
Able to climb a ladder
Aware of proper use of cleaning supplies and other chemicals used in general maintenance
Demonstrated problem solving and people skills
High accuracy in work and attention to detail
Proven oral and written skills
Knowledge of basic painting skills including repair of drywall or plaster
Knowledge of basic plumbing skills
Knowledge of basic janitorial skills
Knowledge of basic construction skills, such as repairing or hanging doors, installing a light fixture, repairing windows.
Able to change locks/keys
Able to order supplies as needed and instructed
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines regarding safety
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing for long periods of time
Climbing, bending, reaching to complete tasks
Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
Oral communication over phone and in person
Proven written skills to explain completion of work order in detail
Lifting up to 50 pounds
