Full-Time Public Works Inspector Needed
Candidate must be motivated, proactive, and must possess the ability to work independently and communicate effectively and clearly with clients and the general public. Candidate must be able to work with a variety of individuals and personalities. Candidate must understand Green Book Specifications, Caltrans Specifications, and American Concrete Institute Specifications. Must be familiar with ATSTM standards and CAMUTCD traffic control standards. Understands how to read improvement plans, both plan view and profiles. Knowledge of the above is essential to the success of the individual.
Duties: Candidate shall monitor the progress of all aspects of public work improvements and private work improvements, including but not limited to, asphalt repairs/asphalt grind, hot mix overlay, concrete improvements, ADA PCC improvements, water main improvements, sewer and storm drain improvements. Candidate must be familiar with word and excel programs. Willing to occasionally work nights and or weekends. Must be able to complete reports on a daily basis. Requires a valid California Driver’s License and Auto insurance.
