CASA DORINDA, a luxury Retirement Community located in Santa Barbara, California, seeks a Director of Plant Operations to manage, plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate Maintenance Department employees and activities to provide the best service to our residents while staying within the budget parameters, including facilities management, repairs, plumbing, electrical and safety. You will also work with our Project Manager on apartment remodels and other general construction needs for the property, and supervise 13 employees. We have a 48-acre property with approximately 360 residents and 300 employees. There is a Skilled Nursing Facility, an Assisted Living /Memory Care Center, an Activities Center, an on-site Clinic, and a robust Food and Beverage Department. We require a high school graduate or GED; knowledge of applicable regulations for construction, and three (3) years' experience in a management-level position in a facilities setting is desired. We also require computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including e-mail, the ability to do basic mathematical calculations, and an understanding of basic accounting principles. Must possess the ability to read blueprints; must speak, read, and write fluent English. Must have a current California Driver’s License with a clean driving record, and be able to pass a Department of Justice criminal background check.
