Santa Barbara County Education Office is looking for a clerical assistant substitute to support our Early Care and Education department in Santa Barbara to start early May 2024 for an estimated time of 5 to 6 months assignment. This assignment involves performing a variety of duties necessary to maintain office support. Flexible schedule 20-40 hrs/wk. Requires a High School diploma and a minimum of two years’ experience working in an office environment.
Knowledge and abilities:
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of telephone techniques and etiquette
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Make and receive phone calls, manage walk-ins, data entry
