POSITION PROFILE

POSITION TITLE: Advancement Department Associate - Long Term Maternity Leave Coverage

REPORTS TO: Associate Head of Advancement

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt/Full-Time | 6-Month Position

(December 1, 2024 - June 1, 2025)

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Advancement Department Associate serves and supports all activities of the Advancement Department’s daily operations, which include Admissions, Communications, Development, Marketing, and Event-Planning. The person in this role will collaborate with members of the Advancement Team and Executive Assistant to the Head of School to manage and maintain all constituent and donor base software. This position will primarily support and collaborate on all special events and marketing-related programs.

Well-versed in technology, various software suites, and office equipment related to the position

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Reports to the Associate Head of School for Advancement to support and implement all school fundraising events with support from the Advancement Department and in collaboration with the Head of School.

Experience with special event planning, media arts, marketing and creative art services, and fundraising in independent schools, including collaborative work with families.

Responsible for managing the development database and constituent management, including ongoing data quality control, biographical and gift data entry, outgoing correspondence, and reports.

Works in collaboration with the Advancement team and will support the creative direction and planning for all annual fundraising campaigns and alumni events.

Works with Advancement team members and Executive Assistant to the Head of School to:

Prepare donor listings for Year End Giving

Support and assist with all updated information in Greater Giving and other event software

Occasionally work evenings or weekend special events including annual Gala Fundraiser & other special events to be determined.

Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work in the school environment and/or remote location

Ability to manage a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts

Occasionally, bend, stoop, and squat

May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time

Be able to occasionally lift to 40 lbs.

Willing to work some evenings and weekends for school-related events or projects

Hourly Rate - $28-$30/hour
