Manufacturing Technician
LPT is seeking a well-rounded manufacturing technician to work on exciting and dynamic aerospace projects. This person will perform a variety of duties associated with the manufacturing, assembly, and inspection of complex aerospace components. Job duties will be split into two areas: Area 1 duties include electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and inspection of advanced electric motor/alternator/generator components including stator winding, potting, and magnet bonding. Area 2 duties include inventory management and assisting engineering staff with document control.
Candidate will be required to take designs from “print to part” with a high degree of accuracy, precision, and efficiency while maintaining a close working relationship with engineering staff.
Required Skills:
1 to 2 years experience in either mechanical assembly or electrical assembly
Ability to methodically follow a specified process while meticulously documenting all work
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and data sheets
Basic use of hand tools, i.e., cordless drill, various saws, and grinders
Basic use of machine shop equipment and tools, i.e., drill press, band saw, and sanders
Basic use of soldering iron and basic soldering techniques
Ability to lift and control a minimum of 20 lbs
Ability to use Office software including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Desired Skills:
3 to 5 years experience in either mechanical assembly or electrical assembly
Experience with ISO 9001 and engineering assembly best practices
Compensation:
Competitive compensation structure with hourly wage $15.00/hr to $22.00/hr (D.O.E.)
Schedule:
Full-Time
Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
