Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Decontamination Technician to decontaminate returned material using the industrial washer, sterilizer, and other methods appropriate for the material assuring cycles are performed as per defined work instructions, documenting the results as required by procedure while ensuring world-class service delivery. In this role, the Decontamination Technician will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting material returned from customers as part of the refurbished program or via customer complaint. If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the first $1,000.00 after completing your first 90 days and the second $1,000.00 after completing your first 180 days, if you are an employee in good standing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Decontaminate returned material using the industrial washer, sterilizer, and other methods appropriate for the material assuring cycles are performed as per defined work instructions, documenting the results as required by procedure.

Log received material in the Arthrex complaints database and ERP system

Perform inventory functions in the ERP system.

Responsible for weekly preventive maintenance of the decontamination equipment.

Responsible for maintaining all the decontamination chemicals.

Ensure proper procedures are followed in regard to handling and storage of contaminated material.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Experience with medical device handling and processing preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Knowledge of decontamination processes is preferred.

Ability to work at a desk, in an office area, or in a light manufacturing area including a clean room.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

The applicant must have basic computer knowledge including Microsoft products Excel and Word.

The ability to learn and use industrial washers, autoclave,s and hand tools.

Maintain processing equipment and a clean safe work environment.
