Job Description:

Setup and operate CNC Swiss Lathe Machines. Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills:

3 Plus years operating CNC Swiss Lathe Machines

Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software.

Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.

Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.

Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols related to CNC machining operations.

Responsibilities:

CNC Machine Setup: Prepare and set up Swiss-type CNC machines by installing and aligning necessary tooling, collets, and workpieces. Ensure that all machine components are in proper working condition before starting the production process.

Operation: Safely operate Swiss CNC machines during the production process. Monitor the machining process to ensure parts are being manufactured to meet required specifications, making adjustments as necessary.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of produced parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Tooling Maintenance: Regularly inspect and replace cutting tools and inserts as they wear out. Properly store and organize tooling to ensure easy accessibility for future use.

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process, such as tool breakage, machine malfunctions, or programming errors. Implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
