Utilizes advanced skill set in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and rendering to translate scientific concepts into visual designs for the purpose of research communications, publications, and marketing for the College, provides artwork and design layout for printed materials such as publications, brochures, and posters, and assists with creation of web graphics and website design for the College's digital marketing efforts. Works closely with faculty and researchers to artistically capture, translate, and represent scientific research through the generation of graphic arts. Serves as the technical and creative leader for the Marketing Team, as well as establish, enforce, and maintain the College's brand, visual identity, and graphic identity. Instruct, train, oversee, and supervise the work and performance of the Multimedia Designer (Artist) in the College's Marketing Department.
Reqs: Bachelor's degree in art or graphic design, related area, or equivalent combination of education and prior work experience. Advanced Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Octane Render, and Pixologic ZBrush or equivalent 3D package. Advanced understanding of technological and scientific concepts for translation into design work, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Familiarity with video production and post-production processes. Ability to maintain project workflow during schedule interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and balance shifting priorities. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Experience working cooperatively and successfully as part of a team. Leadership skills to serve as a technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in both software and hardware currently in use and as a creative lead, providing mentorship and guidance within the creation of visual communications. Ability to oversee and supervise projects and incumbents.

$25.00-$29.75/hr.
