Pay: $10 per board, approx. 80–100 boards total
Location: My garage workspace in Summerland
Hours: Flexible scheduling, weekdays preferred
I’m looking for someone reliable and detail-oriented to help me polish a collection of hand-painted surfboard wall art. During transport, the boards got minor imprint marks from their packaging, and I’ve found that a car polisher and automotive polishing compound work best to restore the finish.
What the job involves:
Using a handheld car polisher to remove imprint marks from varnished boards
Applying polishing compound and buffing each board to a smooth, clean finish
Working carefully to preserve paintwork and ensure a consistent gloss
Repackaging boards into boxes
I’ll provide all tools, materials, and a short training session before you start
No experience needed, but helpful if you:
Have used a car buffer or done detailing work before
Are comfortable working with your hands and paying attention to small imperfections
Can lift and move lightweight boards around safely
Pay and Hours:
Pay per board - $10 (I believe you can do 2.5-3 boards per hour)
There are 80–100 boards to work through
You can work in my garage on your own schedule
If you’re interested, send me a quick note with your name, why this sounds like a good fit for you, and any hands-on work you’ve done before (even if it’s just painting or washing cars).
