We are a small but mighty mushroom farm and looking for some help with our farmer’s markets and at the farm itself.
We have the following markets open for hire:
Shift times include driving and loading/unloading
-Santa Barbara downtown Tuesdays (shift time 1:30-8pm)
-Wednesday’s in Santa Monica (shift time 5am- 3pm)
-Thursday’s Carpinteria (shift time 1:30-7:30pm)
- Sunday Goleta (shift time 8:40am-3:15pm)
-Sunday Mar Vista (shift time 6am- 3pm)
Having your own vehicle/suv/truck/van is a huge plus
At our farm we are looking for a production crew!
The production crew will start working Monday, Wednesday, Friday and soon will be 5 days/week and full time. Approximately 8am-5pm- we will be spawning sterilized blocks, and steaming fresh bags to be spawned on the following shift. For this position we are looking for people who can be on their feet all day, working in front of a flow hood in a sterile lab setting. Attention to detail and efficiency a must! Also need to be able to lift 40lb bags to assist with mixing substrate.
We need people who can work carefully and avoid any possible contamination during the spawning process. This is all work we can train you for, and requires no previous experience, but as mentioned- attention to detail and efficiency are crucial to maintain sterile procedure and working with your partner to get the job done.
There is a brief 2-week trial/training period and then there will be a bump in your hourly wage when you’re off and running.
