Medical office is looking for a personable, professional, team-oriented Medical Assistant Supervisor.

Medical Assistant Supervisor duties will consist of, but not be limited to:

Manage a team of Medical Assistants

Coordinate lunches/schedule changes for MA staff

Train new MA staff as needed

Organize the daily flow of providers

Take on special projects directed by the Office Manager

Assist MD and PA staff with duties

Conduct MA staff meetings

Prepare patients for examination.

Bring patient to the exam room, take patient’s vital signs and thoroughly document in patient’s chart.

Assist patient in standing or dressing after procedure if needed.

Will be required to push patients in wheelchairs.

Prepare, clean and stock exam rooms daily.

Assist with turnover of exam rooms.

Order medical supplies and DME when necessary.

Daily checks with stocking the center in its entirety.

Intake and stock of supplies and deliveries, verify with packing slips, and distribute to designated areas.

Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

Adhere to regulatory policies and procedures.

Present a professional image when representing service to patients and personnel.

Order/dispense medications.

Medical Assistant Supervisor Qualifications:

Management or supervisory experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have previous experience as a Medical Assistant

Has full command of the English language, both verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Must possess the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all

direct and indirect care functions.

Is willing to serve as the patient’s advocate during the pre-, intra-, and postoperative phases of surgical intervention.

May be expected to lift twenty-five pounds without assistance. Is required to obtain assistance when moving patients unable to assist in moving, unless patient is in a wheelchair.
