Riviera ENT was started in 2020 and is one of the most respected otolaryngology-head & neck ("ear, nose and throat", or "ENT") surgery practices on the Central Coast with a passion for providing the very best care to our patients, in a modern and comfortable environment. We are located on State St in Santa Barbara, near Mission St.

- We treat a wide variety of conditions involving the ear, nose, mouth, throat, and neck of patients of all ages, from newborns through senior citizens.

- ENT is a surgical subspecialty, and we treat all manners of otolaryngologic (ENT) problems- both medical and surgical.

- Procedures are performed daily in the office.

- We value working as a team to best treat our patients.

- Every patient is treated with respect.

Depending on the given patient, our medical assistants may help us to:

Room patients

Obtain a history of present illness

Scribe if needed

Assist with procedures including modern in-office surgeries performed under local anesthesia

Help to relay information between the patients and the physicians in the office, by phone, and electronically

Assist with room turnover and equipment processing

Ensure cultures and specimens obtained in the office are ready for lab pick-up

Assist in obtaining certain insurance authorization and referral forms

Other typical medical assistant roles

Medical assistants with interest and motivation have been involved in other types of hands-on patient care, including COVID testing during the pandemic, ear piercing, and audiometric testing.

We value our trusted team. We have a family-like atmosphere that, we are told, is more supportive than many of the other larger practices around. Currently, we are nearing the end of the cycle where some of our medical assistants are moving on to other opportunities such as medical school or other advanced healthcare degrees, and we have openings for medical assistant(s).

We are looking for personable, motivated, and team-oriented individuals (s) with strong multitasking and self-starting skills and the ability to document in a grammatically correct fashion. The ideal candidate would prefer a full-time position for at least one year. We would love to have employees who can grow with us, expand in their roles, and stay on for the long-term.

Spanish language proficiency is helpful because many of our patients are Spanish speaking.
