We have a limited number of full-time positions available.
Hours: 6-8 hours per day, shift times and locations may vary
Scheduled one week in advance - 32 hours per week guaranteed
Must be able to handle any client and work in any of the the areas between Carpinteria and Goleta. Experience working in home care with elderly and disabled adults required, childcare experience is a plus.
Duties:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Medication reminders according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Follow all resident rights policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 6mos - 1yr hands-on experience as a caregiver
- Must be 18yrs of age or older
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with home care practices and techniques
- Understanding of dementia care principles and techniques
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Physical strength and ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
