Tyler x Lieu Dit is seeking a Wine Bar Associate to join our team in downtown Santa Barbara. This role is ideal for a service-driven individual who enjoys engaging with guests, sharing their passion for wine, and creating memorable experiences in a relaxed yet refined setting.

About Us

Tyler x Lieu Dit is a wine bar and tasting room featuring two distinct yet complementary wine brands: Tyler, focused on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and Lieu Dit, dedicated to Loire Valley varieties grown on California’s Central Coast. Inspired by European wine culture, we provide an inviting space for locals and visitors to discover exceptional wines and enjoy thoughtful hospitality.

As a Wine Bar Associate, you’ll be at the heart of the guest experience—serving wine by the glass, guiding tastings, and providing an elevated wine bar experience. You'll share the stories behind our wines, foster genuine connections that drive sales and wine club memberships, and ensure seamless service for guests enjoying food from our wine bar menu and daily specials. This is a hands-on role that requires a balance of warmth, efficiency, and a strong desire to continually expand your wine knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

- Guest Engagement & Sales – Deliver outstanding customer service while leading wine tastings, serving wines by the glass, and sharing insights about our wines, winemaking philosophy, and the Santa Barbara wine region.

- Tasting Room & Wine Bar Operations – Perform daily duties including setting up and closing the bar, restocking wine, running food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an inviting atmosphere.

- Membership & Wine Sales – Educate guests on our wine club offerings, encouraging sign-ups and fostering long-term customer relationships.

- Event & Private Experience Support – Assist with special events, private tastings, and wine dinners to enhance the overall guest experience.

- Ongoing Learning & Development – Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to expand your wine knowledge, staying up to date with our wines, vintages, and winemaking practices.
