YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

As the Prep Cook, you will prepare and cook food items using standardized recipes and by following food safety guidelines.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

Prepare all food items according to recipes using correct handling procedures

Measure and mix ingredients accurately, review any modifications to recipes to meet quality standards with Executive Chef

Test food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using proper ServSafe procedures and guidelines

Food preparation and cooking skills include but are not limited to: measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving and portioning foods

Must have knowledge of menu, including what ingredients are used to prepare each dish and how to build each dish to order

Date all food containers and rotate as needed, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures

Workspace to be cleaned after each shift including switching of food storage containers, labeling of ingredients, scrubbing and sanitizing of all parts of station

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

You have prior experience, non-fast food restaurant and/or training in a culinary school required

You have ServSafe Certification or be willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment

You are able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

You are able to keep up with a fast paced environment

You are 18 years old

You are able to perform with minimum supervision

You are able to regularly stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms

You are able to frequently lift, carry, deliver and serve from trays weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the work shift

You are able to navigate the dining room, kitchen and other facility areas

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Protective Clothing Required: Slip Resistant Shoes

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

U.S. Work Authorization (required).
