Our prep cook plays a crucial role in the kitchen by handling ingredient preparation and assisting the cooks to ensure a smooth workflow.
Some of the job details:
- Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, sauces, and deli meats
- Assist in making sauces and dressings, following basic recipe components
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
- Properly store and label ingredients to ensure freshness and quality
- Support the cooks by preparing and assembling ingredients as needed and instructed
- Prepare coffee and espresso drinks
- Some dish washing in a pinch
- Some food running
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards to keep our kitchen running smoothly
What were looking for:
- Some kitchen experience preferred but not required - willing to trade the right person
- Some knife skills or a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized under pressure
- Be a team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail
- Be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 30 lbs
