Cajun Kitchen on Chapala is looking for a part-time Dishwasher to join our Downtown Santa Barbara team.
Schedule
The shifts begin at 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading washing machines, and stacking washed items appropriately.
Additional responsibilities and duties:
Locate and retrieve all soiled dishes and dining utensils
Clean, scrub, and sanitize all dining ware items
Maintain and troubleshoot the dishwashing machine
Manage detergent and sanitation levels for the dishwashing machine
Maintain appropriate salt levels for the water softener
Provide cleaning assistance to preserve cleanliness in the kitchen and preparation areas
Organize and put away all the towels
Take out all trash from the kitchen area
Sweep and mop the dishwashing and preparation area
Assist the BOH team, only during slow periods and when instructed by BOH leadership
Responsible for locking up the restaurant before clocking out
Requirements
A dishwasher should have the following skills, education, and experience:
Ability to work on feet for long periods (7-8 hours)
Physically able to lift up 50lbs
Able to work with hand submerged underwater for periods
Basic problem-solving and communication skills
Willing to comply with all food safety procedures
Ability to follow directions and take instructions
