We are searching for:

Catering Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The catering sales manager is responsible for all day-to-day catering sales and services, including, but not limited to, developing contracts for, and overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the preparing and selling events and catered functions. The catering sales manager will work closely with the banquet team and other club departments to ensure member and guest expectations are exceeded, and the highest quality food and beverage service is delivered. The Catering Sales Manager will plan and execute member, club and external events under the direction of the Director of Catering.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Participate in the growth of the event program, by increasing internal and external event sales.

Assist members in arranging banquets, luncheons, meetings, weddings, birthday celebrations and other social events

by obtaining and communicating pertinent information needed for guest planning.

Conduct property site tour for members and external guests.

Assist Director of Catering, Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director determine selling prices, menus, and

other details for revenue producing catered events.

Transmit necessary information to and coordinate event planning with all club departments.

Arrange for printing of menus and other special requests.

Inspect finished event set; be present to oversee the actual greeting and serving of guests.

Check BEO against actual room setup; oversee personnel scheduling for special functions.

Attend and participate in event service meetings with Food and Beverage and Banquet Managers.

Responsible for hands-on service work when needed and orchestrating events when necessary.

Maintain past and potential client files; schedule calls or visits to assess ongoing needs of prospective clients for catering services.

Manage in-house banquet event orders (BEOs).

Obtains necessary permits for special events and functions.

Critique functions to determine future needs and implement necessary changes for increased quality.

Attend staff and management meetings to review policies and procedures, future business opportunities and to continually develop quality and image of banquet functions.

Diagram room layout, banquet item placement and related function details.

Meet with other department managers to plan special events.

Manage banquet billing and arranges prompt payment for all events.

Update weekly function information for all affected staff.

Serve as liaison between kitchen, service, and management staff.

Work hours include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience & Other Skills:

Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years).

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Catering software a plus

Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to five hours during a shift.
