Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant in Santa Barbara, California. This role is situated within the government industry, and will require the individual to provide administrative assistance, manage customer service, and perform data entry tasks. As a Receptionist, your primary responsibilities will include answering phone calls, assisting individuals applying for our programs, and helping people check their case status. Must be bilingual in SpanishResponsibilities: Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate parties Assist individuals who visit our location to apply for our programs Help individuals check the status of their cases Provide information on how to apply for benefits Perform administrative duties such as data entry and record keeping Keep front desk tidy and presentable Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and packages Update calendars and schedule meetings as needed Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.Requirements Comprehensive understanding of Receptionist Duties including managing front desk operations, directing calls, welcoming visitors, and handling basic inquiries. Excellent Customer Service skills with a demonstrated ability to interact courteously and professionally with clients, colleagues, and visitors. Must be able to speak Spanish and English Experience in Administrative Assistance such as managing schedules, coordinating meetings, organizing office supplies, and assisting with special projects. Proficiency in Data Entry with the ability to accurately input and manage information in the company's database or system. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information and respond to inquiries. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively. Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and photocopiers. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus. Respect for confidentiality and discretion; ability to handle sensitive information. Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing work demands and tasks as necessary.
