Description Robert Half is offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a diligent Bookkeeper based in Santa Barbara, California. Working within a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and managing delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications Maintain and update customer credit records on a regular basis Handle monthly billing tasks and credit collection calls Create and maintain vendor accounts as needed Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions Perform data entry tasks and manage electronic mail as required Maintain office supplies and manage ordering when necessary Assist with general ledger postings and journal entries Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare daily cash reports Organize files and maintain data archiving systems.Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations Minimum of 1+ year experience in Bookkeeping Ability to perform accurate Data Entry Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in Month End Close procedures Familiarity with QuickBooks software.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
