Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to temporarily join our home daycare team for the summer, where we integrate Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and outdoor education philosophies. Our daycare caters to children aged 6 months to 3 years, providing a nurturing environment that values creativity, nature exploration, and holistic development.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development

Facilitate outdoor activities and nature exploration sessions

Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants and toddlers

Maintain open and effective communication with parents

Create a stimulating and aesthetically pleasing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence

Work collaboratively with other educators and childcare professionals, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices to enhance the overall program quality.

Document children’s learning experiences through observations, photos, and written reflections

Foster healthy eating habits and promote wellness through nutritious meal planning

Qualifications:

Education: A degree, certification or 12 units in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting, with an understanding of Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or outdoor education principles or openness to learn

Passion: Genuine passion for early childhood development, creativity, nature, and holistic education.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the needs and interests of individual children and the group dynamic, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Additional Information:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Schedule: This is a temporary full time position starting mid may and ending early september with subbing and training opportunities leading up to May.
