Payroll Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Santa Ana, California. This role involves a blend of payroll and HR responsibilities, primarily focused on processing payroll for 160 employees across 27 states. The successful candidate will use ADP Workforce Now, Timekeeping, and Excel for various tasks, including downloading reports and maintaining records. This role is fully remote, and reports to the HR Director. Responsibilities: Process payroll accurately and efficiently for 160 employees across 27 states Maintain accurate payroll records using ADP Workforce Now and Timekeeping Utilize Excel for downloading and reporting, including use of Vlookups and Pivots Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization Understand and process employee benefits Handle new hires, terminations, pay changes, and promotions Run reports as needed for HR and Payroll purposes Use Tableau for data visualization and reporting Set up garnishments and tax withholdings as required Balance payroll responsibilities with HR tasks, estimated at 80% payroll and 20% HR Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Ceridian Knowledge of IBM AS/400 Experience with Kronos Timekeeping System Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration Experience with About Time Proficiency in Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
