In this role, you will liaise with client departments and customers, monitor and control maintenance costs, and support with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a flexible schedule, and it can lead to a full-time position.Responsibilities
Liaise with client departments and customers
Monitor and control maintenance costs
Support with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs
Follow up on open work orders
Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed routinely
Obtain necessary parts for safety upgrades
Improve system for parts management
Update records for machine evaluations
Participate in daily LPMS meetings
Support with assuring safety and environmental related regulatory compliance issues are met, as well as the preparation, updating, and implementation of company safety policies/standards
Participate in Plant Safety Committee
Analyze, prepare, and maintain mandatory/regulatory related safety reports and records
Support accident investigations, safety inspections, and audits
Support plant emergency plan related activities
Support investigations and reporting process as it relates to general Workers Compensation liability claims
Support training at all levels of the organization to promote optimum safety and environmental performance and coordinate training required by EPA, OSHA, and state regulatory agencies
Provide recommendations to production/facilities improvements to enhance productivity and safety
Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proficient in MS Excel
Previous Manufacturing/Project Management experience from projects/internships
Experience in project management, maintenance, manufacturing, and troubleshooting
Additional Skills & Qualifications
VBA experience preferred
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Previous manufacturing experience through projects/internships is preferred
Work EnvironmentYou will be working 100% onsite with a 7 or 8 AM start time, 40 hours per week. The environment is moderate to loud, working around equipment and machinery. You will spend around 40% of your time in an office setting and 60% on the production floor. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
