Description San Rafael, CA based law firm specializing in plaintiff personal injury cases is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Case Manager Legal Assistant/Paralegal to assist on a 6-month maternity leave coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills and familiarity with case management software like Needles or CasePeer. While plaintiff personal injury experience is a plus, it's not mandatory. This position operates on a hybrid work model. Candidates will work remotely for the majority of the time, with in-office reporting required 1-2 times a week during the training period and 1-2 times a month thereafter. Responsibilities:
Handle all incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and messages from various stakeholders such as clients, attorneys, adjusters, and medical providers.
Input relevant information into case management software such as Needles or CasePeer, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Organize digital folders and documents, including correspondence, photos, medical records, and bills.
Assist in professional writing tasks, including the generation and customization of letters, demands, and legal forms using software tools such as Outlook, Excel, Hotdocs, and Adobe.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. Maintain positive client relationships throughout the case management process.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking in case management, identifying and resolving issues, discrepancies, and challenges that arise during the course of handling cases.
Maintain organization of case files and documents, ensuring all materials are properly labeled, categorized, and stored for easy retrieval and reference. Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
