Description As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with various departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and contribute to our overall financial health.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Perform reconciliations of accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments.
Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with audits as needed.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate setting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
