Description A construction organization is currently seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This role involves working with confidential employee information and requires a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll processing, preferably in a unionized environment, and be familiar with payroll software and Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP). This is a contract role 3-6 months in duration.Essential Functions:
Verify timecard accuracy and make necessary corrections
Download all data from timekeeping application to Excel spreadsheet
Prepare Excel spreadsheets for uploading payroll to the accounting system weekly
Print checks and paystubs
Contact department supervisors for any missed time worked.
Process expense reimbursements
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
2+ years of payroll experience preferred
Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Previous working experience with JD Edwards or other accounting software is desired
