FACILITY TECHNICIAN Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Facility Technician to join our team. ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides various services which include but are not limited to: rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing. This position is fully on-site at Empirical System's Aerospace in San Luis Obispo, CA Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Broad variety of duties associated with maintaining building, office, and shop areas
Responsible for routine maintenance and general upkeep which includes cleaning, sweeping, mopping of the shop and office kitchen/conference areas, and removal of trash and recycling throughout the building
General office/lab/facility upkeep and organization and restocking of supplies
Specific COVID cleaning measures to ensure proper sanitization of high use areas
Vehicle inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, equipment inspections
Transporting and moving of items between office/building locations
Support set up and breakdown of furniture and events
Special assignments as requested
Low level office maintenance and support
Wear and use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) correctly and when necessary, while on duty
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Must possess solid organizational skills
High School Diploma
Ability to work with power and hand tools
Ability to use floor scrubber and carpet extractor
Ability to drive forklift and use scissor lift
Thrive in a small company, fast pace, dynamic environment
Good mechanical aptitude, comfortable working with your hands
Ability to multi-task and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks
Basic computer knowledge, word, excel, outlook
Detail oriented
Proven ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Lift 50+lbs.
Frequent walking around office and shop floor
1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
