Public Safety Apps Project Manager

Description A direct client of Robert Half is seeking a Project Manager (Public Safety Applications) to support in managing and migrating critical public safety technology solutions. This role requires expertise in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), dispatch systems, and Records Management Systems (RMS) and involves overseeing vendor selection, RFP processes, and system migration.Day to Day: Lead the evaluation and migration process for public safety applications, including assessing alternatives to Tyler New World. Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations. Oversee the application migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Coordinate project planning, execution, and delivery, maintaining timeline and budget adherence. Collaborate with public safety departments, vendors, and IT teams to ensure project success. Manage additional non-public safety projects based on organizational needs.Requirements Musts: Proven experience managing projects related to public safety applications (CAD, dispatch systems, RMS). Strong background in vendor evaluation, RFP processes, and application migration. Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery. Technical expertise to support collaboration with IT teams and vendors.Pluses Experience working with Tyler New World or similar public safety applications. Knowledge of public sector operations and regulatory requirements.
