Essential Functions: Greet and assist patients that present. Working knowledge of Health Plan coverage types, for example (but not limited to) traditional, deductible, etc. Check in patient by following check-in policies and procedures and using the check-in systems of manual visit recordswhen the systems are down Check out patients by following check-out policies and procedures and using the check-out systems or manual visitrecords when the systems are down, if applicable Follow appropriate procedures when registering exception-type patients such as non-members, out-of-area health plan members, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and industrial patients Assist patients by providing general information and explaining co-pays/applicable fees. Maintain the patient will-call area box, if applicable Communicate with clinical and business office staff as needed Cash Handling Reconciliation Deposit and handle cash according to the Cash Handling Responsibility Agreement. Perform other duties as requiredQualifications: High School Diploma/GED 6 months of work experience Ability to read and follow instructions, short correspondence, and memos Communicate with health care providers, staff, patients, and visitors Professional phone etiquette Ability to multi-task, organize, manage time, and prioritize work flow in a complex environment Knowledge and use of computer and computer keyboard Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment Also refer to the detailed responsibilities outlined in the L29 Cash Handling Responsibility Agreement.COMPANY: KAISERTITLE: Cashier ReceptionistLOCATION: San Leandro, CaliforniaREQNUMBER: 1301252External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
