What you will do:As a Manageability Engineer, you'll join an agile team engaged in the design, development and testing of the Management Plane required for the Cisco 8000 platforms. In the role you will have the opportunity to:
Design, develop and validate:
Manageability agents for Netconf, GNMI and Telemetry
Yang models for operational and configuration data on the embedded system
Design and develop High-scale statistics streaming infrastructure on the embedded system that feed onbox/offbox analytics engines
Develop test framework to validate embedded system manageability software modules
Basic Qualifications:
3+ year’s software development experience using C, C and/or Python
3+ years’ experience using regular expressions and CLI parser
3+ years’ experience developing management APIs using REST or XML/Yang data model
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Open-Config models and services like GNMI, GNOI, GRPC
Knowledge of OpenStack, OMI, Google Proto Bufs
Experience in building network visibility products on-prem or cloud offering
Exposure to SONiC and extensive contribution to SONiC community
Experience in understanding of packet forwarding, operating systems internals, algorithms, and computer architecture is helpful
GIT, Jira, Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline tools
Virtualization and container technologies including KVM/Qemu, Docker and/or Kubernetes
Strong performance tuning skills
