Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Collections Specialist in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will be adept in customer service and credit collection processes within the telecom industry. The primary function of this role is to manage and reduce the backlog in the collections department by making collection calls and maintaining accurate credit records.Responsibilities: Conducting diligent follow-ups on outstanding credit accounts to collect on delinquent payments Accurately processing customer credit applications and maintaining their records Regularly monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner Utilizing your knowledge of collection processes and procedures to improve the overall function of the department Collaborating with the team to develop and implement strategies to reduce the backlog in the collections department Ensuring all collection activities are in compliance with regulations and company policies Providing exceptional customer service during all interactions with customers Utilizing excellent communication skills to negotiate payment plans and settlements Continuously enhancing your knowledge of the telecom industry to better serve customers and improve collection efforts. Requirements Must have a thorough understanding of Collection Processes Knowledge of Credit management is essential Experience in Collections required Excellent Customer Service skills are necessary Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion Strong communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in using financial software and databases Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other departments High level of professionalism and ethical standards Must have problem-solving skills to address customer issues effectively A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and addressing them promptly Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
