Location: San Francisco, CA Description: Position Description:
- This project will involve conducting an audit of all pre existing external marketing materials relating to Search Ads keywords and targeting. It will necessitate close collaboration with Googlers across product, marketing, sales and support to sequence what external marketing materials need to be updated and in what timeline. Key skills:1. Identify and organize technical content for marketers/search practitioners into categories for updates/deletion2. Communication skills to keep stakeholders across the working group on track for what content needs to be updated and when3. Ability to create clear written summaries of complex concepts and work with cross functional team of Product Managers, Engineers, Sales and Support contacts to incorporate their product knowledge.- After the identification of materials to be updated and the sequencing of these, it will be necessary to evolve, and implement the editorial strategies and techniques that achieve marketing material' business objectives, while supporting the Google brand qualities and heritage. Voice, elegance, and clarity are values of the highest order in this position.- Proven teamwork skills and flexibility. Ability to work independently and to proactively communicate with the team. Ideal candidate is comfortable with technical topics, has elementary knowledge of search engine marketing, online marketing, and/or Google Ads products.Skill/Experience/Education:Mandatory:- 3+ years experience writing marketing materials for technical audiences- 5 years of relevant experience, such as technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing including experience with writing technical customer-facing materials.- Track record showcasing the ability to update existing and or create new documentation- Experience working with multiple stakeholders such as Product Managers, Engineering and Sales teamsDesired:- Ability to help craft compelling marketing messages.
