Role: Web Accessibility DeveloperLocation : SFO, CAHire Type: 18+ Months ContractSkills/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science with coursework in web development, software engineering, or similar3+ years of solid technical experience in UI/Front-end development - Advance proficiency in code writing and programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and ARIAIn-depth and extensive knowledge in Accessibility experience of software, web, and documentsExtensive knowledge and experience with respect to accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG 2.0/2.1, WAI-ARIA, UAAG and ATAG)Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504)Experience with accessibility evaluation tools such as Chrome accessibility developer tools, ally, Axe, Inspect, WAI toolbarExperience teaching or training users on effective uses of technologiesExperience with Assistive Technology such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, ChromeVox, MAC/IOS Voiceover, Talkback, magnifiers, alternative input, read-aloud tools, etc.) with the understanding of their interactions with multiple browsers and platform combinationsWorking experience in Multi-Discipline interaction (iPad, iPhone, Android Phone, Tablets) an assetExperience with accessibility audit and quality assurance tools and processesExceptional ability to contribute innovation and creativity to website designsStrong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management capabilities. Keen attention to detail and advanced troubleshooting skillsExperience with JIRA, Confluence. Passion for building and helping others build accessible UIsExperience working with Visual Studio, WebStorm or similar IDEs.
