Description We are on the hunt for a Revenue Accountant to become part of our team in the healthcare industry located in San Francisco, California. The individual will be engaged in the execution of fee-for-service accounting, utilization of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles, and management of contractual allowances. Key responsibilities: Execute fee-for-service accounting with accuracy Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles in daily tasks Manage contractual allowances with precision Perform regular reconciliations of revenue accounts Review and interpret contracts to ensure accurate revenue recording Comply with financial regulations and standards Conduct complex data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting using advanced Excel skills Streamline accounting processes using Sage Intacct Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Maintain detailed and accurate documentation and perform variance analysis to explain revenue differences Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support internal and external audits Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Revenue Accountant, preferably in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry. Proficiency in various Accounting Software Systems. Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is essential. Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting functions. Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must. Must have prior experience in Auditing and Billing Functions. Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is a requirement. Knowledge of HealthCare Revenue Cycle, Hospital Revenue Cycle, and Revenue Cycle Processes is required. Familiarity with ASC 606, Revenue Recognition Accounting, and Revenue Recognition Guidance is essential. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable. Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
