Description A leading Workforce Management Software Company based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior EDD Compliance Analyst to join their growing compliance team on a fully remote, open-ended contract basis.This role requires a senior-level compliance professional with a unique mix of 1st line operational execution and 2nd line advisory experience. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, conduct deep-dive Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, and contribute meaningfully to the design, maintenance, and advisory support of compliance frameworks and policies.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive EDD reviews on high-risk customers, including drafting detailed narratives, performing risk assessments, and recommending next steps.
Support 2nd line compliance functions by developing and maintaining policies and procedures, updating compliance frameworks, and advising on regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Risk, Operations) to ensure alignment between regulatory expectations and internal policies.
Advise on internal controls and implement best practices based on evolving regulatory guidance and emerging risk trends.
Identify red flags and risk indicators during the EDD process and ensure robust documentation of review findings.
Remain current on AML/KYC regulatory developments and integrate updates into the compliance program accordingly.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1st Line Compliance (Operational Execution): Extensive hands-on experience conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, drafting risk-based narratives, and performing customer-level risk assessments; Proven ability to identify red flags and provide practical recommendations based on EDD findings.
2nd Line Compliance (Advisory & Frameworks): Demonstrated experience supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures; Regulatory advisory experience, including interpreting guidance and advising internal teams on controls and best practices.
Strong knowledge of applicable U.S. regulatory frameworks: BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN, OFAC, and FATF guidelines.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, with minimal oversight.
Experience working within a fintech, SaaS, or highly regulated financial institution is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with compliance and risk tools such as Actimize, LexisNexis, WorldCheck, or similar platforms is a plus.
