We are passionate about what we do.What's in it for you:As a product manager supporting Terminal Applications for Bloomberg’s Alternative Data initiative, you’ll help bring our high value alternative datasets directly to the Bloomberg Terminal for thousands of users. In this role you will help drive product development for new functionality within the Terminal that will provide clients with real-time data-driven insights into company performance and the broader economy. Bloomberg is uniquely positioned to address client needs in applying alternative data to company research and investment workflows, and in this role you will help shape and transform the future of investment research.We’ll trust you to:

Collaborate with the product team to drive the strategy, roadmap and requirements around alternative data for Bloomberg Terminal applications

Empathetically understand our target user’s business, workflows, and objectives

Develop your skills to own the successful implementation and launch of products and features into the hands of thousands of Bloomberg customers

Collaborate with key stakeholders and product owners across Bloomberg (including sales, marketing, customer support, engineering, data science) to bring data to existing functions and products for our clients

Become the product owner to your Agile team(s) including working with engineering to determine development priorities, balancing functional and technical requirements, and managing the backlog and other product artifacts

Define metrics for understanding the engagement and impact of products and features

You’ll need to have:

3+ years’ experience in the financial services or technology industry, with a data-driven mindset

Understanding of equity analyst workflows in the Terminal, including how equity analysts and PMs use Alt Data

Understanding of the alternative data market landscape and associated use cases/workflows for our products in the market

Ability to work closely with data scientists and engineers

Ability to make informed trade-offs to achieve near-term business targets while positioning for longer-term scale

Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus effectiveness in communicating with customers, sales, engineers, and data scientists alike

Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

Motivated, driven, and results-oriented

We’d love to see:

Proven product management experience building software/data/analytical products

Demonstrated working knowledge of applying alternative data to answer investment research questions and/or surface investment opportunities

You’ve successfully executed in large company settings and collaborated with multiple stakeholders to bring scaled products to market
