Who We Are Looking ForThe IT Intern will be part of the Clearway IT Team and will report to Scott Hooper, the Director of Cybersecurity. The team is responsible for protecting the company’s assets through the implementation of a robust program based on a well-known cybersecurity framework. This position will provide exposure to a variety of technologies, security challenges, and event triage.This position is part of the 12-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2024.We are looking for current juniors or rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearway, you’ll gain access to an innovative and fast-paced work environment. You’ll also participate in networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.This position is open for our San Francisco Office.What You'll Be DoingThe IT Cybersecurity Intern primary responsibilities will include:

Exposure and responsibility associated with daily cybersecurity monitoring tools

Participation on a major cybersecurity initiative active at the time of the internship

The IT Cybersecurity Intern will be assigned with an individual project and will present results to the project leadership at the end of the summer. Familiarity with cybersecurity methodologies, tools, and processes

Advanced MS Office and Excel skills

Experience with cybersecurity monitoring tools.

Prior experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

Experience with Identity Management services.

Awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
