Serves as the lead administrator for BNI and in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has primary responsibility and accountability for the overall performance of BNI. This position also serves as the Executive Vice President (EVP) of BNI Management LLC and in partnership with the BNI CMO has primary responsibility and accountability for the activities of the LLC.

Oversees the administrative team that supports the clinical practice research and medical education components of BNI and in accordance with the BNI Co-Management Services Agreement provides direction to the administrative units of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) that support BNI including the Barrow Neurological Foundation (BNF) Accreditation and Compliance Facilities Quality Human Resources Managed Care Marketing and Media Relations Supply Chain Finance and Patient Financial Services.

In collaboration with the BNI CMO the Chairs of BNI clinical departments and SJHMC Administration facilitates the appointment/hiring and evaluation of BNI clinical leaders BNI physicians and scientists and the BNI management team. Oversees BNI workforce development employee satisfaction and engagement and succession planning. Develops and manages BNI performance indicators. Oversees the BNI Lean Six Sigma (LSS) program and other performance improvement activities. Ensures that BNI meets or exceeds national quality and patient satisfaction benchmarks. Oversees the information technology infrastructure systems and tools that support BNI clinical practice research and medical education activities.

Develops and manages BNI annual operating and capital budgets. Oversees BNI business and space planning activities and monitors implementation. In collaboration with the BNI CMO oversees decisions about strategic affiliations and preferred relationships with other healthcare insurance research education medical device and pharmaceutical organizations

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

Masters degree in healthcare administration or a closely related field.

Minimum of ten (10) years administrative management experience.
