Job Description A personal genetics company is hiring for a Senior Python Engineer to join their team in Menlo Park! This would be a full time role that can support a full remote work situation, though ideally, they would like this person to come into Menlo Park a couple times out of the week. This company helps families by identifying genes that cause disease and then act based on the leading science. They also offer lifetime, personal health insights from one sample with updates as new medical findings come out. The Senior Python Engineer will be join a small, but talented team of 3, to work on the platform that helps store, analyze, and utilize genomics and health information. The engineer will also be supporting the processing pipeline and downstream run it through a report generation tool. This opportunity will have plenty of greenfield development! Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience with Python
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with cloud computing and cluster orchestration (AWS EC2, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, etc)
- Experience with united testing, CI/CD, and devops
- Experience with any of the following: sequence analysis, ETL pipelines, analytics, ML/AI, system security, or full stack teamwork
