Army Mechanics is on the lookout for a dedicated part-time Mobile Technician to join our team in the San Diego, North County , and South Bay regions. We’re interested in professionals skilled in routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake pad replacements and other light mechanical repairs including starter replacements, belt changes, brake system flushes, door mechanism repairs, and more.
Role Overview:
Conduct vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire installations.
Provide services to Amazon’s fleet vehicles in the San Diego area.
Operates from a company-provided mobile work van.
Receive comprehensive training on our operational procedures.
Prior mechanical experience and military service (current or former) are highly advantageous.
Compensation:
Average hourly earnings range from $35 to $100, based on services rendered, with additional hourly wages.
A clean criminal history is required, and a background check will be conducted.
Service hours typically span from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
Flexible scheduling subject to service demands.
Potential for occasional weekend assignments.
Estimated weekly income between $400 and $900.
Requirements:
Availability for at least 24 hours weekly, from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
3+ years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience OR a diploma in auto/diesel technology from an accredited program
Comfortable working independently.
Agreeable to bi-weekly payments.
Holder of a valid driver’s license with an impeccable driving record.
Ready to complete a minimum of 5 nights of paid training at $20 per hour.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Reliable personal transportation to pick up the company vehicles in either the Escondido, Temecula or south Bay.
Prepared to stock and maintain the work van prior to each shift.
Proficient with iPhone technology.
Confident in maneuvering a 16-foot box truck.
